              History is full of   examples  of   great  men and women who laid down their lives for the sake of love for the country or a cause, and became martyrs. Everyday our countrymen are being butchered mercilessly by terrorists The recent incidents of  violence in   Gurdaspur  are shuddering. The attack on  the police station, took many lives. The  way in which  several police men   laid down  their lives bravely facing the attacks has made them  martyrs. We bow our head in prayer for  these martyrs.  The country is  proud of them and  condemn the  those who indulge in such a barbarism.
