Mr.Seth was a very noble person. He was very generous. He liberally donated large amounts of his riches to temples, orphanages, hospitals, schools and colleges. His only son and daughter in law died in an air crash. His two year old grand son was the only survivor in the crash. Seth had no one else in the world, whom he could call his own. He had a fifty year old servant, who served him and looked after all the needs of Seth and his grand son, who was very naughty . It was six years back that he had lost his son and DIL.Little Bobby was the apple of his eyes. The child was very naughty and played pranks with his Daddu. The grand father never felt annoyed or irritated with the child's mischief.
One morning Bobby did not go to school on the pretext that he had loose motions. He loved sitting at home and enjoyed playing video games endlessly. He sent his leave application through another child going to school, through the road in front of his house. In the evening Seth and the grand son were sitting in the lawn. Seth saw Bobby's teacher coming towards their house. The Daddu told the boy toy to go inside and pretend sleeping, other wise the teacher will think he was bluffed. Bobby saw that the teacher was actually coming towards their house. He became panic stricken. He told his Dada,"You go inside. I wrote in my application that you have passed away."

Thank you Naba. Yes it is important to keep the children under discipline.
DeleteThere is an underlying moral aspect to the amusing prank or what shall I call it ?
ReplyDeleteYes Anil, children must learn to respect their elders.
DeleteIt is true that as you get older you become childlike. No wonder mothers do not trust their children in the hands of grandparents when it comes to disciplining.
