Sushree Dash, who blogs at drsushreedash.blogspot.com has nominated my name for the Sunshine Award for my blog, 'Easter'. Thank you Sushree  for this honour, which you have bestowed upon me. I, thankfully accept the award. Sushree, herself is a dedicated blogger.  She writes poems as well as prose with equanimity. She is Doctor by profession, but writing is her mission, her craze and her first love.  I love reading her blogs. Thanks once again Sushree.

I am writing ten things about myself...
1. I am a deeply spiritual person. I believe in the sanctity of all religions.
2. I am reserved by nature.
3. I was born, as per the saying 'with a silver spoon in my mouth'. Life has been kind to me.I was well placed in my  profession and commanded great respect.
4. My husband is a South Indian and I am from North. We are in the 55th year of  our happy and contented married life.
5. Our children are very affectionate and loving.
6. We are living a very happy and contended retired life. 
7. I can spend long hours in front of my lap top. Writing is in my blood.
8. If I don't know or understand some thing I don't feel shy to ask for help. (At this age I find it difficult to manage somethings)
9. God has given me every thing except good health. I have had many surgeries,some serious, but I don't crib about it. 
10. I have some good friends, who  are always there for me.
 I am grateful to God   for all His mercies.

Shilpa, as you all know, is a versatile blogger. Every body in the blogging world is aware of her writing skills and  presentation of her blogs . In spite of  her accomplishment, proficiency and excellence in this field, she is very humble and helpful. Whatever I have learnt and achieved today is because of her co operation and helpful nature. She deserves much more. I humbly request her to accept this small offer.
