    This is so precious indeed! My mother used to tell me to give a penny to anyone who gives you a gift of pearls.

    Your haiku is right on Usha. However, I would like to know what is the significance of pearls for a wedding. Why are they so popular for brides? I'm curious (and too lazy to google right now)! ;) <3

      Thank you Elly. Actually pearl is a symbol of wealth and prosperity, so it is considered as auspicious.
