Mr Mehra was returning home in his bike when he saw a middle aged lady stranded on the road near her Mercedes car. Mr. Mehra stopped his bike and approached the lady. "Can I help you in any way, Ma'am?"The lady looked at him suspiciously. but Mr. Mehra assured her that she could trust him. He saw her in difficulty and wanted to help her. The lady's inner self told her that she could trust this man. She said that the tyre of the car was punctured and she could not change the tyre on her own. Mr. Mehra removed his coat, took the jack and the spare tyre, and completed the the work in fifteen minutes. She was impressed ,took a thousand rupee note and her visiting card from her bag and offered it to Mr.Mehra. He thanked her and said that he did not do the job for money. She should give it to someone who is needy, started his bike and disappeared within no time.He saw the card and realised that she was Mrs. Gambhir, wife of a famous industrialist.
The lady stood shocked for sometime. She was feeling mentally tired. She stopped at a wayside stall for a cup of coffee. She ordered sandwich and coffee and closed her eyes to relax. She was distracted by a a soft voice,"Ma'am, your coffee".The lady opened her eyes and saw a young woman, who seemed to be eight months pregnant. Mrs. Gambhir told the waiter girl to sit by her side, but she kept standing. Mrs. Gambhir asked her why she was working even at this late stage of pregnancy. The lady waiter looked at full term pregnant stomach and just said,'money'.Mrs Gambhir finished her coffee and paid the bill. She remembered the words of the man, who changed the tyre of her car. She gave a thousand rupee note to the waitress. She was surprised and refused to take it. Mrs. Gambhir said,"A man, whom I met recently told me that helping the needy is allowed by god. Who can be more needy than you !" The waitress could not refuse. She thanked God that He sent a good Samaritan in her time of need. When she removed the plates, she found another thousand rupees under the plate. Mrs. Gambhir had already left. She remembered the lady's words and took the money. She went home and told her husband the whole incident. He just muttered the words,God knows all and went to sleep.
