It is now an open secret that Narendra Modi, the Prime Minister, at the age of six years, served tea to customers at a tea stall, run by his father. Later on, when he was sixteen ,he and his brother owned a tea stall. There he met some BJP workers and got interested in in Politics. Now he is the Prime Minister of one of the largest Democracies of the world. There are many more people in different spheres who reached a high positions due to sheer single mindedness.Names of some personalities are given below:-
1.Bill Gates He did not complete University Education.
2.Rajni Kant He was a bus conductor till the age of 25.
3.Abrahim Lincoln In his childhood days, he used to stitch shoes.
4. Dhiru Bhai Ambani He used to work in a petrol pump
5Shah Rukh Khan....He used to sleep on a bench, and borrowed RS.20.00 from a friend to go to film city.
6.A.R. Rehman....He was a school dropout.
Looking at the life of these personalities, we wonder how they (and there are several others) who rose from dust and achieved name and fame .How did they achieve great heights.
1 They had the will to achieve something in life. Determination plays a great role in shaping the personality of the individual.President of USA said in one of his talks, "The best way to not feel hopeless is to get up and do something. Don’t wait for good things to happen to you. If you go out and make some good things happen, you will fill the world with hope, you will fill yourself with hope."
Barack Obama.
2.Hard work always pays dividends.Just sitting at home, doing nothing will not lead us to our destination." ..talent means nothing, while experience, acquired in humility and with hard work, means everything.” said Patrick Silsline, a famous aothor.
3.Dedication towards your work is very essential. Unless there is dedication, the spirit of hard work and determination will become weak. Once you have determined with dedication to take up a task put all your strength to accomplish it successfully."If you believe in yourself and have dedication and pride--and never quit, you will be a winner", are the words of Paul Bryant.
4.Sincerity towards the work/ profession, you have chosen for your self is very essential. If we, all the time, keep cribbing about our work, we will never like it and never succeed. In the words of Mencius," There is no greater delight than to be conscious sincerity on self-examination".
5.Devotion. It is very important to like your work with great devotion. Only if are devoted to your work you will enjoy doing the work and also look forward to the fruits of your success. In the words of Abdul Kalam,"To succeed in your mission, you have single-minded devotion to your goal.
In the end I am reminded of H.W.Longfellow's famous words:-
Lives of great men all remind us' We can make our lives sublime,
And, departing, leave behind us Footprints on the sands of time
