(The following story is a 55 words fiction. This is a style of writing in which you have to write fiction not exceeding 55 words. I was introduced to this form of writing by Madam Shilpa Garg,a well known blogger on Blogsphere. I have made an attempt. I don't know how far I have succeeded.)
Raindrops made Mary cry. William never returned.Went for cake to celebrate two decades married life. After waiting endlessly the guests departed. Sitting lonely her ,eyes fixed on driveway and phone. Shrill call bell pierced her ears. William on the line. Caught in rain. Rain drops made her cry, not of sorrow but of delight.
Aha! That's a very sweet 55 fiction! :)

Thank you Shilpa. I get motivation from you. When ever I am stuck, I look upto you for advice.
DeleteA great story, Ushaji! Mother at home in Charleston, preparing all the favorite dishes for her son and family waiting for them to visit during the weekend! Misses the daughter and her family in Greenville! Surprise! Her daughter and grandchildren call her on the phone! Sunshine spreads everywhere! Warmth hugs their hearts! Sounds of their chatter and laughter hang like pearls around the grandmother /mother! Such are the pleasures of mother / grandmother-hood!
