The testimony of love.

                        Pic Courtesy Vidyasuri.com.
Rajat came back from Dubai after five years. His world had completely changed in these five years. The day he landed at Dubai, his dear wife of ten days, was by his side. They did not know how time passed. They were on seventh heaven.  Suddenly  his wife Nisha, died in child birth. .He came back to India. While crossing Lodhi Gardens, he got down and rushed to the spot where the love birds met .Oh! The Great  Banyan Tree  where they had  met, was now only a log of wood.  It was a testimony of their love. Oh God!!!

  3. I have goosebumps, Ushaji.
The Banyan tree is also no more...the testimony of their love is lost after his wife's death...

  5. To bear such a loss - first of his beloved and then of that great reminder of their love..you bring out the immensity of his shocking sadness quite well in a few words.

  6. it is such an irony that both the love of his life and the testimony of their love should be gone, and all that remains are her memories and the log of wood! beautiful!

  7. Is it the banyan tree that symbolised their love, or is it that their love was as strong as the banyan tree! Either way, the love has been lost, and so is the symbol. !
    The pathos !!
    Touching, Usha Mam :)
