Easter

Today is the fifth day of 'A to Z challenge'. Friends, I am presenting the Easter Festival.
Jesus Christ
Easter is a very important Christian festival. In ancient times controversies arose regarding the date on which the festival should  be   celebrated.  It was finally resolved. It is celebrated on the first  Sunday of a full moon after March 21. It usually falls between  March 21 and April 25.

Easter is a holy festival.  It is celebrated throughout the world in all  Christian churches. The  churches are dimly lit and there are traditional   prayers, in praise of  Jesus Christ. It is followed by a mass. This is a festival, when maximum number of  people attend the Church, and form a part of the activities. The festival is also known  as Easter Sunday and Resurrection Sunday.

The festival celebrates the resurrection of Jesus and is also considered as rebirth of Christianity. It is celebrated on the third day after Good Friday, when, Jesus came back alive, after fructification on the Cross. The festival also marks the end of  forty days  period of fasting, known as, Lent.  The festival is celebrated in two parts ie. the religious part and the feasting part.

We must teach our children to imbibe the spirit of Love, as God is  Love. We must help the needy and share the Easter spirit with them by teaching them the importance of the day.
Resurrect  the Jesus  inside us  and follow His path of helping and en-lighting our spirit  by

trying to apply his teachings in our daily life.

Easter Eggs.
Easter has always been a time for feasting and celebration. Dishes made from eggs are very popular . Eggs  are painted and decorated. They form a part of the platter of marshmallow bunnies, jelly beans  and many more decorated delicacies in beautiful baskets.
