Strangers in the night

The incident  narrated here is  not  an imagination or a piece of fiction. It actually happened in our  house during Diwali days. We were scared and horrified at that point of time. But when we think of it or narrate it , it sounds to be funny and hilarious.

It was a day before Diwali.  We slept after a hectic day. In the morning at 50'clock when my husband got up, he got a shock and called me. I  started  screaming  at the pitch of my voice after I witnessed the scene. The grill and wire mesh were cut. The whole room was littered with  covers of chocolates, biscuits, cakes and skins of fruits. On the sofa we found  broken pieces of biscuits, dry fruits and sweets. Obviously we had a visit by strangers in the  night, who could not open any door, decided to have a party.

    1. Yes Gayu, The purpose was robbery. In the Living room there is nothing that could be stolen microwave, frig, sofa set etc. Perhaps they sprayed some gas from the window so we did not have any inkling.

    1. Charan we had taken all precautions,We had security alarm, but perhaps the wire was snapped. They enterd from the living room and could not enter any other rooms because they were secured very well. It appears they sprayed some gas from our bedroom window. the glass of the window was removed,It was found wrapped in some cloth on a chair in balcony. After this incident we kept a dog.

  18. At least, they could enjoy their Diwali at your home :D even though they scared the wits out of you :)
And an answer to Charan above, yes such things happen only in movies, and robbers are people who watch movies too :D :D ( just kidding ).
Jokes apart, it must have been really really frightening to witness the havoc the next morning, and remaining clueless as to what actually transpired...

    Well narrated, Ma'm :)
