Every body wants to keep their body  in good shape. For a good and healthy body it is essential  to  have  (i) proper exercise and (ii) balanced   food.

Many people take up weight  reducing programme with great hopes. It  has been observed that after some time they regain the weight, which they had managed to shed with great effort. The secret to maintain   the level of weight at the same level is the intake of proper food. Here are some tips for a  healthy diet:
Take low fat protein food.
1.  Poultry and sea food.

2. Fat free dairy food

3. Egg white

4. Beans, peas, legumes

5. Whole wheat products.

6.  All green fruits and vegetables

7. A cup of vegetable soup before meals is good.
A   regular   regime of exercise must be maintained.

Brisk walk  for 20 to 25 minutes  follow a regular program to get rid uf that extra weight.
Successful, long-term weight control must focus on your overall health, not just on what you eat. Changing your lifestyle is not easy, but adopting healthy habits may help you manage your weight in the long run. Effective weight-loss programs include ways to keep the weight off for good. These programs promote healthy behaviors that help you lose weight and that you can stick to every day, by light exercise for 10 minutes, is desirable.

Cycling is good for weight reduction.

  7. Wonderful points Usha ji. I try to make the meals as much balanced as possible in nutrition. I wonder how mom used to do that everyday.

  8. Great tips!! Lean meat is always better than red meat if you are a non vegetarian and salmon, tuna and such fishes that contain omega 3 fatty acids are great for health...adding flaxseeds or oil to the diet also helps reduce weight.

  9. A great list of ways to keep healthy weight management. I am resolving to work on this and find it a challenge at times with sitting too much at work and at home on the computer. ;) I am curious as I never heard this before, "A cup of vegetable soup before meals is good." I am curious to learn more about this...can you tell me more? :) <3

  10. Thanks for the reminder of how to live healthy. I was going to Weight Watchers and have managed to change some of my bad habits. I still need work in some areas though as the weight is creeping back. I love walking so am glad spring is here making it easier to get outside.
