And now a master piece and my favourite
Malayalam Devotional song dedicated to 'Lord Ayyappa'
The songs, especially the ones in "Chit-Chor" ( his first in Hindi, I guess) and then in "Sawan ko ane do" are melodious treats. However his south Indian diction, accent may have always robbed some of the sheen of his hindi songs. don't you feel so?
Thanks Anil. The songs of Chit Chor made him famous. This was in the year 1976. He started singing Hindi songs in 1970( Choti si baat). In his early songs his Malayalam accent was quite obvious but he improved with time. In spite of linguistic constraints, the songs became popular.
His soothing yet rich baritone and knowledge of classical music makes him one of my favorite singers across India. Thanks for sharing such lovely melodies ma'am:)
