Innocent or is it naivete?
Whatever may be the reason ,they are destined to get burnt. Thank you Anil.
Thank you for changing over to blogger Usha!! :) So much easier to leave a comment now!!This is the sad destiny for an interesting creature....the glitterati arrive and after all the razzle and dazzle the show ends with a note saying more to follow!! :)

An the temptation of light, great haiku
Thank you MLM. Happy that you liked it!
Thanks a lot Rama. Your comments matter so much to me.
Your haiku reminded me of a kishore kumar song "Pyaar diwana hota hai..."
Wow how romantic! I love this song. You know which song I was reminded of when writing this.... Mehfil me jal uthi shama parwane ke liye.Pyar bana hai is duniya men mar jane ke liye. Do you like old songs? I love them.
Oh yes Ushaji I love old songs, in this song there is a line "Shama kahe parwaane se, pare chala jaa, meri tarah jal jayega, yahaan nahi aa; woh nahi sunta, usko jal jaana hota hai..."
Oh wow I love this song. How similar are our choices!!
Powerful and poignant
Thank you RIP. I am glad you liked it.
Thanks RIP .I am glad you liked it.
I find this goes farther than just about fireflies. It can apply to people in general too. Thanks for sharing. :)
Welcome Sania. You are right. This is true for every one. If we are reckless, we too will face thesame consequences like the firefly
Uh oh .. Poor hopeful firefly. .. And beware humans too. Not all that glitters is gold.:-)
Welcome Foam. The pity is that knowingly the fireflies go near the flame. Humans also know what is right and what is wrong. Still they commit blunders.
Thank you Sarala.
Ohhhhhhh Usha...I can now comment on your blog.Yes, beware of the bright lights!
Hi Rallentanda, was there some problem in commenting in my blog? You are correct. All that glitters is not gold.
