I'd do things differently

100 Words on Saturday - Write Tribe

A father and son were sitting together. A crow came and  sat on the wall.  Father asked the son what's that. Son  replied," A crow". Father again asked the same question. Son again said,'Crow" Father asked the same question four times. Son got irritated, 'How many times I have told you, can't you understand?"  The father brought an old diary and gave it to the son. It was written there,"Today  sonny asked me twenty times what's that. I told him it was a crow and hugged him each time."The son felt shy. "Wish I'd do things differently."

  1. Awwww....that was wonderful! Parents do so much for us patiently raising us into who we are today! We need to respect and understand this and patiently and lovingly give them the best of everything!

    1. Yes it is very true. Only when you raise the children you realise how much they tolerated. Thank you Shilpa.

  8. This is so beautiful Usha-ji. Sadly, we have forgotten how one parents held our tiny lil fingers, narrating us bedtime stories despite the fact that they were sleepy and tired. Shilpa is so right:)

    1. Thank you Vishal. Children have no idea how the parents sacrifice for them, till they experience it themselves.

  9. It is so easy to forget all that our parents have borne silently for us, nothing we ever do can repay all that they have done for us. being a parent is a huge responsibility.

    1. Reshma you have rightfully said that the children do not even know how much their parents have borne for their sake.

  12. That's such a sweet lesson so simply put. Once kids grow up they turn judgemental however parents' love is unconditional always.
